Help Your Patients Use ASTELIN Correctly

Following the correct administration procedure will help your patients to get the maximum benefit out of ASTELIN.

Patients need to prime the delivery mechanism before use.

Before initial use, your patients should prime the system with 4 sprays or until a fine mist appears. If ASTELIN is not used for 3 days or more, patients should reprime the system with 2 sprays, or until a fine mist appears again.

You may want to recommend your patients to view the animation on proper use.

For safe, well-tolerated relief, be sure your patients with seasonal allergic or vasomotor rhinitis have the chance to try ASTELIN.

Important Safety Information

ASTELIN is indicated for the treatment of the symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis (patients 5 years of age and older) and nonallergic vasomotor rhinitis (patients 12 years of age and older).

The most commonly reported adverse events in seasonal allergic rhinitis and nonallergic vasomotor rhinitis patients 12 years of age and older were bitter taste, headache, somnolence, nasal burning, and rhinitis. The adverse event profile in seasonal allergic rhinitis patients 5 to 11 years of age was similar to that in the adult population.
